Nadim Kufi

Nadim Kufi is an Iraqi-born multidisciplinary artist, recognized for his conceptual approach that spans photography, installation, printmaking, and video. Born in Baghdad in 1962, Kufi’s work often explores themes of memory, exile, and identity, reflecting his personal experiences as part of the Iraqi diaspora. His artistic practice is marked by a minimalist aesthetic and a focus on the interplay between personal and collective histories, frequently utilizing archival materials and found objects to evoke a sense of displacement and longing.
Kufi’s work has been exhibited in prominent institutions and international biennials, including the British Museum in London and the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris.
