Nabil Abdel Latif

Nabil Abdel Latif is an Iraqi artist known for his contributions to contemporary art. He has participated in several significant exhibitions, including the second Biennale in Baghdad and the Babylon International Festival in 1988. In the same year, he organized a solo exhibition featuring documentary sketches and designs at the Palace of Culture and Arts. His work was also showcased in the Contemporary Iraqi Art exhibition in Jordan and London in 1991. In 1992, he held a traveling solo exhibition across five Italian cities: Milan, Turin, Rome, Monte Carlo, and Fucecchio.

Beyond his artistic endeavors, Abdel Latif has been actively involved in the art community. He participated in the International Association of Plastic Arts conference in 1986 and the General Conference of the Union of Arab Plastic Artists in 1987. He served as the Secretary of the National Committee for Plastic Arts affiliated with the International Association of Arts and was a member of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate. Additionally, he held the position of Head of the Plastic Arts Department at the College of Fine Arts in Baghdad. His contributions to art education include co-authoring several books and curricula on art teaching methods. In 1993, he was appointed as the head of the committee responsible for developing art education curricula for teacher training colleges.
