Fahmi's artistic style blends realism with elements of magical realism and romanticism, often portraying Baghdad's shanashil (traditional wooden balconies), narrow alleys, and the Tigris River. His works frequently feature the Baghdadi woman, capturing her beauty and essence. He has participated in numerous exhibitions worldwide, including solo shows in Sharjah in 2014 and Toronto in 2016. In 2013, he received the first prize at the Emirates Fine Arts Society's annual exhibition for his painting "Khatun Dijla."
