Iyad Almosawi is a Canadian-Iraqi artist born in Baghdad, Iraq, who has resided in Canada for over 35 years. His work is characterized by vibrant colors, imaginative designs, and 3D techniques that bring contemporary art pieces to life. Almosawi's art often incorporates Arabic influences, reflecting his Middle Eastern heritage within various decorative themes. His multi-dimensional paintings translate into functional pieces like wall rugs and murals, aiming to make art accessible to a broad audience.

Almosawi has exhibited his work globally, including solo exhibitions in Kuwait, Morocco, Canada, the United Kingdom, Tunisia, Iraq, and the UAE. Notably, in 2020, he held a solo exhibition titled "The Manifestations of Love" at Zimzy Gallery in Dubai, featuring a collection of vibrant murals inspired by Middle Eastern architecture and nature. His work has been acquired by institutions such as the Art Bank in Ottawa and has been featured in advertising campaigns, including one for Mercedes Benz in 1996. Almosawi has also participated in the Art and Culture Festival in Asilah, Morocco, and has been recognized as a significant figure among the new generation of artists in both the West and the Arab world.
