Hanan Sameer, born on March 31, 1971, in Cairo, Egypt, is a distinguished artist specializing in drawing and animation. She earned her Bachelor's degree from the High Institute of Cinema's Animation Department in 1993, followed by a Diploma in 1997. She further pursued a Master's degree in 2002 and a Ph.D. in 2009 from the same institution, focusing her doctoral research on the "Hero Model in Animated Films: A Comparative Analytical Study."

Throughout her career, Sameer has been actively involved in both the academic and artistic communities. She has held positions such as Assistant Professor at the Higher Institute of Applied Arts in 6th of October City since 2015 and has been a member of several professional organizations, including the Egyptian Animation Society and the Cairo Atelier. In 2025, she was elected to the board of the Egyptian Syndicate of Fine Artists, reflecting her significant contributions to the field.
