Awadallah El Shemi, also known as Awad El Shimy, is an Egyptian artist born in Cairo in 1949. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Graphic Department, in 1973 and earned his Ph.D. in Fine Arts in 1987. In 2001, he became a professor of graphic arts at Helwan University.
