Ali Al-Kafri (1948–2022) was a Palestinian visual artist born in Lubya, Tiberias District. Following the 1948 Nakba, his family relocated to Damascus, Syria, where he pursued his education, culminating in a degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cairo in 1973. Al-Kafri's artistic journey spanned over five decades, during which he explored various styles, including realism, surrealism, abstraction, and classicism. His work is renowned for its deep connection to Palestinian heritage, often incorporating elements of Arabic calligraphy and oriental motifs.
