Ahmad Al Bahrani (أحمد البحراني), born in 1967 in Iraq, is a prominent contemporary sculptor known for his dynamic and monumental works in bronze and mixed media. Al Bahrani’s practice is deeply rooted in themes of identity, displacement, and collective memory, often reflecting on the socio-political realities of the Arab world. His sculptures are characterized by their expressive forms and powerful symbolism, frequently drawing on both ancient Mesopotamian motifs and modernist abstraction.
Al Bahrani has exhibited widely in major international institutions and biennials, including the Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art in Doha and the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris.
