His first solo exhibition took place in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, in 1970. In 1976 and 1977, he held solo exhibitions at the Iraqi National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad, showcasing a significant body of work. In 1979, Al-Naeb relocated to West Germany, where he continued to develop his artistic practice. He held a solo exhibition in Doha, Qatar, in 1982, and participated in the Baghdad International Festival for Fine Art in 1986. Throughout his career, Al-Naeb has been recognized for his dynamic compositions that blend elements of Eastern and Western artistic traditions, reflecting his experiences across different cultures.
